The Feel Good Bucket
I woke up feeling grateful for the blessings God has allowed me to experience in this lifetime. But I know that life is not always this beautiful. Sometimes life is tough. Sometimes it seems like we just can't catch a break. Problem after problem, expense after expense, pain, and more pain. And it is because of life's toughest moments that "The Feel Good Bucket" was born.
A feel-good bucket is essentially a place you will fill with memories and reflections of the times you feel the most loved, the most joyous, the most accomplished, the most rewarded, the most abundant, and the most blessed.
Because life is no walk in the park, the “Feel Good Bucket” is not only a list, it's a place, and a destination to go to during those times when you can't seem to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For the times that remembering the "good times" feels so hard. This is the place to refer to during crisis, difficulty, and pain. A place that reminds you that this too shall pass. This is a place you can go to reminisce about your best times yet, where gratitude and happiness are abundant. A place you will gain strength from. Because during our lifetime, it is a given that we’ll be confronted with difficult times at one point or another, but it is not about how many times you fall; it’s about getting back up.
With hopes that you to become inspired to write a “Feel Good Bucket List” I would like to share some my Feel Good Bucket Items with you:
November 2016
Looking into a blue that seems to never end. A gentle breeze on my face and I'm at the highest point of the Island. Keeping very still and I feel small vibrations. This could be the waves hitting the beach or maybe just the earth underneath us. Surrounded by the many blues of the ocean. I'm on the very top of the oldest lighthouse of the Caribbean. The only remaining Spanish-era structure in Culebrita, Puerto Rico. A place in danger of collapsing. A place that will not be there much longer, and I was there. Witnessing the beauty of nature from the best seat in the house. Listening to Nature, and witnessing the most beautiful most picture perfect place I had ever seen. With the most loving people by my side and my mom was just a walk away enjoying the beach and the sun. Life could get no better
March 2018
I can not sleep. Things are so great right now. I feel like a life of happiness and joy awaits me. I feel like today I get a new start next to the person I love. I can not wait. Perfect mornings in a balcony with a view, just a few hours away. A chance to do things right. I can not wait. I can not wait for a bed. I can not wait for a kitchen. I can not wait for all the new memories that await!!!
